How Did We End Up Here?

In 2016, our then 5th grade eldest returned from a vacation trip to England and announced that he wanted to play rugby. He’d seen a junior high rugby match, and all that banging around looked like a dream come true to him. His dad (me) just chuckled and told him, “Son, this is Texas. We play football here.” He begged me to Google it, and to my surprise, we discovered a thriving youth rugby scene in the Houston area. Thus began our rugby journey…and what a journey it’s been!

The first few years were full of road trips and a lot of “What just happened?” moments, as we learned the rules and nuances of the game. By the time he entered high school, we had the game pretty well figured out.

Then in 2019, our now-Freshman announced that he wanted to play collegiate rugby, and he was going to need game film. Determined to support him, we began filming his games from the sidelines with an iPhone. Before long, we added a tripod (an iPhone gets surprisingly heavy after 80 min!), then a ladder, then a better camera, and more. It wasn’t long before we realized that since I’m filming anyway, maybe I could figure out how to livestream it for the parents (and grandparents!) that couldn’t make it to the game. The sports videography passion was born!

What had begun as a simple gameday task to help our son, has evolved into the Houston area’s premier youth sports livestreaming service. From junior high to college-level, we deliver comprehensive coverage with unmatched professionalism and a heartfelt commitment to supporting young athletes. We cover all youth sports, but of course, we will always have that special passion for rugby.
